The sooner a condition is diagnosed, the sooner healing can begin. Ultrasound, Endoscopy, and Digital X-rays are some of the methods used by our doctors to find out what the best course of treatment is for your companion. With our leading-edge technology we can view crystal clear images on our flat-panel monitors anywhere in the hospital. We can enlarge scans and view different angles with the simple click of a mouse. In our hospital there is no film that can be lost and procedures rarely need to be repeated. Best of all we have a team of experts led by a board certified radiologist to ensure the highest level of accuracy at every step of the process from positioning to interpretation.

New! Every X-Ray taken at RegionalVet is now being read by a Board Certified Radiologist!

Whether your pet has a scheduled appointment or is seen as an emergency, if x-rays are taken, our attending doctors will give you a preliminary reading right away and submit your pet's images to one of our radiologists to be reviewed.

The radiologist who interprets your pet's x-rays will put the examination and other tests together with the x-ray findings in order to recommend treatments or further examinations. After the specialist reports to the referring or primary veterinarian, we will call you within 48 hours if there are changes made to your pet's treatment plan as a result of this review.

We have started this program to make superior diagnostic quality available to ALL patients (not just patients referred to see a specialist anymore) because imaging weighs heavily making your pets feel better when they are ill and with early detection of disease before they are become ill. As long as your pets x-rays don't need to be interpreted by a radiology specialist immediately there are no additional charges for the expert interpretation.

Research shows that abnormalities are missed in 30% of cases on radiographs (x-rays) seen by only one doctor. Your primary veterinarian may already be consulting with our radiology team to help review images taken at his or her facility.
