My Pet Seems Healthy, Why is a Senior Wellness Plan So Important?

While your pet may seem very healthy for a senior, dogs and cats have an innate ability to disguise illness or pain. This instinct is a prehistoric survival tactic. So by the time they show you their discomfort it has become unbearable to hide. Geriatric testing and careful observation helps us to identify problems early enough to prevent or at least ease discomfort.

Remember many factors affect aging as well, such as breed, genetics, nutrition and lifestyle. It's for this reason that we strongly recommend that senior pets are seen for two annual well visits per year. It is our goal, and our honor, to commit to the lifelong health of your best friend.
